November 2023: Iteration, Variation

Hi everybody,

Today I’m celebrating events upcoming and media past.

I took part in Stefan Prins’s Workshop for Creatives in Darmstadt this summer–an intense week of passing our works around to be touched by many hands: adding/subtracting and building/destroying. New iterations of each work appeared daily, so intermediate generations became quickly forgotten. I published some of my favorite mid-process iterations, which you can see below.

I also have a couple of concerts coming up that rely on the variation of past works–both in a similar way but with very different ensembles. In this case, Nadar Ensemble shows my video treatment of Bach, and the Residentie Orkest premieres my irreverent summarization of Mozart. Read on!

quick reminder if you’re reading this in your inbox, it looks much nicer in a browser!
